Fashion Popcorn at Rushes Soho Shorts

On July 22 2011, Featherhouse hosted Fashion Popcorn, a face-to-face digital fashion salon, at the Centre Space and Terrace at London College of Fashion. Supported by Shooting People and LCF, and part of the Rushes Soho Shorts programme, Fashion Popcorn discussed the opportunities the evolving digital landscape presents to fashionistas.

The digital salon included a live pervasive media showcase, as well as a panel discussion with Q&A session, with the aim that it should be digitally-thought provoking, digestible and fun. This was followed with some good ol’ networking, with a refreshing beverage in hand, courtesy of Martini.

Speakers were Tim Kindberg, of Matter2Media, showcasing his current project, Krstl, still in research and development (R&D). Joining Tim was film-maker Kathryn Ferguson, who has been steadily establishing her reputation as a film-maker within the fashion and wider cultural spheres, while simultaneously curating the fashion strand of Bird’s Eye View Film Festival.
