Emily Fleuriot

A writer, award-winning editor, and digital media producer, Emily Fleuriot specialises in devising and implementing creative content solutions for the digital age. This includes writing/blogging, communication strategies, content development and SEO, operational and CMS planning, and flexible project and people management using her knowledge of PRINCE2™.

Working in fashion and media for over a decade means she has an inside-out understanding of the industry, a bulging contacts book and the know-how to make exciting projects happen. She was invited to join The Courvoisier Future 500, an exclusive network of rising industry stars, in November 2008.

Emily writes on fashion, beauty, celebrity style and lifestyle, for diverse digital and print titles which have included British Fashion Council, Clash, Cosmopolitan, Fashion Monitor, Lost + Found (VIEW Consultancy) and Sun Online. She is an active blogger, regularly posting on fashion at www.fashionpopcorn.com, and to her twin-mummy blog www.theshockofthetwo.com.

Senior Site Producer at 19 Fashionair from November 2008, Emily was responsible for ongoing development and operations of Fashionair’s unique online fashion and shopping experience. Working on the site’s March 2009 beta launch, prior to becoming mum of twins(!), has given Emily vital insight into the future of online publishing and consumer experience, as well as advancing her understanding of the technical requirements for ground-breaking creative digital output.

Prior to joining Fashionair, Emily was digital media consultant and web producer at the British Fashion Council from June-December 2008. She managed the build of the organisation’s online portal, launched in February 2009 as a key element of the organisation’s digital activities and its ‘Celebrating 25 years of British Fashion’ campaign. This role incorporated copywriting and image sourcing, advising on e-communications and the November 2008 relaunch of the British Fashion Awards microsite.

Emily cut her industry teeth during her seven years at leading fashion and beauty b2b Fashion Monitor, which she headed up as Editor for four years. Responsible for day-to-day operations, fast-paced news writing and interviewing industry insiders, Emily worked alongside the commercial team on maximising Fashion Monitor’s brand value and communication campaigns. Notably, this included working on the June 2006 relaunch of Fashion Monitor as a daily online news service, and then various initiatives to drive up web hits, unique users and brand loyalty. Fashion Monitor won Product Development of the Year at the DPA Awards 2007.
